Hudson. What we have here is a very special find. This 1947 Hudson
Super 8 was found in a south Florida garage stored since the 1990s.
With a mere 24,820 original miles, the Holy Grail Hudson exhibited
the least amount of wear, tear, and deterioration of any antique
car we have ever seen. The Hudson Super 8 had absolutely no rust,
not even one pin hole. The original asbestos cover on the tailpipe
was intact; the brake drums were uncut with mirror finish. The body
is 100% Hudson steel and the original drivetrain and interior is in
incredible condition. The Super 8 was adorned with the original
1947 window stickers as well as the original dealer installed Do it
in a Hudson bumper sticker. Hudson Motors produced only 5076 - 1947
Hudson Super 8's, with very few remaining on the road today. The
Hudson is a number 1 condition car, and may be the number one
condition among all Hudson cars in existence today. No expense was
spared on a full frame off $150k, 15-month, 1500- hour restoration.
This 1947 Hudson Super 8 is truly a piece of fine art that captures
the essence of the art deco era. The colors are simply fantastic
and were carefully matched with era correct tones and hues. The
bronze colored glass compliments the beautiful two-tone colors and
gorgeous wood grain dash. The highly detailed art deco style visor
was hand fabricated in metal with hidden brackets. The
undercarriage is as nice as the exterior, and the engine
compartment is incredible This rust free 70 year-old 1947 Hudson
Super 8 is of the highest condition and quality of restored cars of
the era.
